The day was now ending just as it had began. It was almost just as peaceful now, as the sunlight started to wane and the halls of Hogwarts were being lit by torches. Professor Branden stood looking out the window at the back of his Charms classroom. He had decided to hold the first Charms lesson of the year at night. It seemed like a very wise decision. The students would obviously be more at ease now, and that would hopefully keep them paying attention. He held his hands behind his back as he watched the sky slowly darken.
There were a few things Aidan had already planned for his first lesson. There was going to be an introduction to what Charms would be over the term, and there would be a slight introduction of himself. Following those events, Aidan would proceed to teach the students a charm, one that would definately help them get through their time here at Hogwarts. Considering there would be many times the students would find themselves lost in the dark, the Lumos Charm seemed like the perfect choice.
The class room was setup so that the professor's desk was set between two large windows, and the students desks were to the sides, facing inwards towards each other. If you looked at it from the ceiling, it would look like a horseshoe, with the opening being the entrance to the room. Now all that horseshoe was missing, was students.

Jason was glad he finally got to attend his first class at Hogwarts. Plus, it was being taught by his head of house, Professor Branden. Jason really didn't know much about the guy, but he seemed like he was pretty cool and easy going. That would probably explain why the first Charms class was at night. Maybe this guy thought the students would enjoy it more. Jason was pretty sure he was going to, considering it was a new experience for him. So, Jason was going to have a good time. However, he was pretty sure his other classmates would probably share his view on this.
Jason stepped into the Charms room, noticing that the Professor was staring out the window. Okay, so maybe that was a little odd, or he was trying to play off of some kind of cool introduction. "Hello Professor." Jason said, as he took a seat in one of the side desks. It was an interesting set up. Obviously the professor enjoyed being the center of attention. Then again, that's probably how it should be. Oh well, Jason just had to wait until class began.

Oh boy. A fun day of exploring the castle was now ending with Charms class. Zackary had been standing somewhere in the middle of some corridor talking with one of the portraits. As he noticed it starting to get dark, Zack realized that he had a class very soon. It was a little weird that a teacher would make their classes happen at night. Not that he was really complaining, I mean, it was a class that seemed like it could be fun. Any class where you could use practical spells seemed like fun to Zack. So obviously Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts would be his two favorites. For now.
The second wasn't supposed to start for a little while. So hopefuly Charms would satisfy his needs for now. Plus, maybe he'd meet some pretty cool people in Charms class. The pretty cool people would probably be the rest of the first years, which is fine. Zack didn't think there were any other years ahead of them.
Since Zack hadn't exactly figured out where all his classes were, he decided to follow the kid that just walked into a classroom. That obviously had to be a classmate of his. So Zack followed him into the room and saw the professor staring out the window. This was going to be interesting. He also took a seat near the other kid. Maybe he could make a new friend or something. "Hey, the name's Zack." He said to the other kid.

Tristan rose from his seat in the library, noticing the time. It was almost time for his first Charms lesson. It was about time, too, cause Tristan was starting to get a little anxious. He had spent most of the day reading history books and a lot of stuff similar to it, like famous witches and wizards. He stepped out of the library and turned down the hallway towards the stairs. It was a good thing Tristan had figured out where all of his classes were earlier in the day. It would make these kinds of trips a lot easier. As long as Tristan planned it right, he could probably make it to class almost instantly.
His stroll through the castle was quite fun, as Tristan took note of all the paintings and such hanging around. A lot of really interesting, moving artwork decorated these halls. Either way, they would have to wait until some other time, because Tristan had almost missed the entrance to the classroom. So he strolled on in and took a seat near the other two kids that already seemed to be here. He decided not to try and start a conversation. Tristan decided to just wait until this Professor stopped staring out the window, and started class.

Ryan entered the classroom, noticing the other guys that were all sitting together. The other side of the room was completely empty. Ryan was almost tempted to sit there, but decided against it, because it would make him seem really weird. So, he decided to sit a row behind the Ravenclaw guy. He seemed like he'd enjoy this class. That's probably because he is a Ravenclaw and they're just a bunch of bookworms. That was just Ryan's opinion, and he was going to stick to it, like he always did.
Ryan made no eye contact with them and sat down and started staring towards the same window as the Professor appeared to be staring out of. What a weird person. Were all the classes going to start like this? Or maybe something could come flying through the window. That would definately be very interesting, and an exciting start to the year.

The sound of feet and a students voice. It seemed like class should be starting soon. Aidan turned from the window to see four boys essentially grouped in one area. That should be fine for now. They could socialize and it would probably make their school years better. Unless, you know, they become enemies or something. That'd definately make some interesting scenes in the school that Aidan hoped he'd never have to be involved in. Anyways, four students here would be fine for now, it was enough to start a class. It may seem small, but there was a very small body of students right now.
Aidan walked to the center of the classroom and turned to face the four men sitting in their little group. "Gentlemen. Welcome to Charms. I would wait until the rest of your classmates get here, but I'm sure they'll show up in time to learn something. I'm Professor Branden, and I am not only the Charms teacher, but Head of Hufflepuff as well. There are not many rules I have in my classroom, other than don't use the Charm spells I teach you against other students." Aidan took a moment to pause and catch his breath. "There will be a few spells that I will teach you, one of them will be taught today. This is pretty much a practical class, so make sure you have your wands with you everyday, as you should anyways." Aidan finished his small speech and looked back to the students.
"Are there any questions?"
